Bayfest Mobile, Alabama 10/5-7/12

So it was once again time for Bayfest. This would be my 4th or 5th Bayfest. I have been so many times I have lost count. Anyway, so on day one, I saw Loverboy, Pat Benetar, and Journey. Loverboy had already started by the time I got there, but the first thing I heard the singer say was "roll tide!" It got a partial crowd respsonse. They played

Then it was time for Mrs. Benetar. She told us several stories throughout the night, like the fact that she had been married for 34 years to the same guy, Moving to LA to work on an album, and being one of the first people on MTV. She played

Then it was time for Journey. Their new singer was a lot cuter than I remembered him being. They played

Day one was amazing.
Day two started out around 5:00 and a band called Ugli Stick was playing. I have seen them several times but I just can not get into them. Then a band called The Campaign 1984 came on. I saw them last year and they were so much better this year. But I was restless through them. The only reason I wanted to come to Bayfest this year was because of My Darkest Days. They played after The Campaign 1984, so needless to say, I was excited. They have been on my band bucket list for over 2 years. They played

After them was Buckcherry. I saw them at my first Bayfest. They are always an interesting band to see. I filled up an entire 4gb memory card with nothing but pictures of Josh Todd. I know. I am weird.

After Buckcherry was Bush. Of course they were great. Gavin was absolutely gorgeous. The band was really on point with their performance and at some point, Gavin ran out in the crowd while singing Come Together by The Beatles. I do not know all the songs that they played, but I do remember that they opened with Machinehead. They later played The Sound Of Winter, Everything Zen, Glycerine, and Comedown. Bush ended the second day. My favorite part of the second day was definitely My Darkest Days because I love them so much.

The last day of Bayfest was not very long for me because I did not go until late. I saw Michael Franti and Spearhead, Chris Cagle, and Luke Bryan. Michael Fratnti was ok. I only knew one of his songs, but he was really fun to watch. I do not like Chris Cagle at all and I only saw him because I was waiting for Luke Bryan. I do not really like Luke Bryan either, I just wanted to see him so I could hear the popular songs. Of course he played them and he played a lot of covers. He then proceeded to make fun of Justin Bieber.
