Right Back At It Again Tour: A Day To Remember, Of Mice & Men, and Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! Tabernacle, Atlanta 3/20/13

It was around Christmas time when I found out that A Day To Remember was coming back to Atlanta. I was a little nervous because it was in the middle of the week and I do not usually go to shows in Atlanta on school nights if I can help it, since it is four hours away from where I live. When I told my mom that they were coming back and that the Atlanta date was the first date of the tour, she asked when tickets went on sale! I was super stoked because that totally meant that we were going!!! A Day To Remember, commonly know as ADTR, are one of my favorite bands. Before this show I had seen them four times, three of them being in Georgia and one in Alabama. So now I guess I can add four times in Georgia. The other bands on the tour, properly named the “Right Back At It Again Tour” were Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! And Of Mice & Men. I had seen both of those bands prior at Warped Tour in 2012 and they were not half bad. CNCC had an adorable stage setup that really showed their heritage. It was the French flag with an Eiffel Tower and another French flag with French culture on it. That was pretty freaking awesome. When the band started, the crowd was pretty rough, which was not a surprise because of the genre of music that they play and my previous experience of seeing them. They opened with Captain Blood and that set the mood for the rest of their set. They followed with their new song “Restart” that will make an appearance on their newest album that comes out on April 30th. Then they played We Fell Fast, We R Who We R by Ke$ha, Born For Adversity, and they closed with In Friends We Trust. I swear they are the cutest French band I have ever heard, and I have heard several. I was really proud that their English has gotten a lot better since the last time I saw them. After them, it was time for Of Mice & Men. I knew when the intro to O.G. Loko came on, that I was in deep trouble. I was being thrown around like yesterday’s trash. I regret nothing, but I hightailed it out the crowd as fast as I could. Throughout their set one of my friends and I weaved in and out of the crowd and in the process I almost lost both of my shoes, my glasses, and I had the largest dude in the room fall on my head. Once again, I still regret nothing. They played
O.G. Loko
Product of a Murderer
Still YDG’N
Ohioisonfire
Let Live
The Flood
The Depths
Second and Sebring

It was finally time for A Day To Remember. I was so excited because it had been almost a year since I had seen them and ahhhhhh I was just super stoked. They walked on stage and Jeremy said “We are going to open this with a new song! It’s called Violence!!!! (It should be noted that this was the first time that they ever played this) And from then, song after song, I fell deeper and deeper into love with one of my favorite bands. Appropriately, the second song was 2nd sucks. If there is one thing that ADTR is good at, it is hyping up a crowd and that was just the song to do it with. Then they went straight into A Shot In The Dark and I’m Made Of Wax Larry. During Larry, they hit out bouncy balls and it was pretty legit. They followed with

My Life For Hire
All Signs Point to Lauderdale
Mr. Highway’s Thinking About The End
Better Off This Way
Right Back At It Again (New Song!!!!!!!!!! First time they ever played it!)
Have Faith In Me
Another Song About The Weekend
You Already Know What You Are
Fast Forward To 2012
Why Walk On Water When We’ve Got Boats
You Should Have Killed Me When You Had The Chance
The Plot To Bomb The Panhandle
It’s Complicated (Acoustic)
If It Means A Lot To You
All I Want
The Downfall Of Us All

There is something to be said about a band that plays all different sizes of venues and can sell them out too. At this current moment, over half of their tour is sold out. They are obviously doing something right. I do not care what you think, but A Day To Remember has the trophy for best live performances and dedicated fans. Their new album Common Courtesy should be out soon because they just finished tracking it yesterday. If you were at this show, I hope you had as much fun as I did, and if you haven’t seen them, I do not know what you are waiting for because you are severely missing out.
