Needtobreathe Rivers In The Wasteland Album Review

I have been listening to Needtobreathe since their first album Daylight came out in 2006. Since then I have seen them exactly 10 times and have plans to see them again in a few months. This is their fifth full length, studio album, titled Rivers In The Wasteland and it has been highly anticipated by numerous media outlets. I am somewhat impressed.

1. - Wasteland - Needtobreathe has always tried to stray themselves away from the stereotype of being a "Christian" band. But with lyrics like, "If God is on my side, then who could be against me?" they seem to have conformed to that belief. I mean the members are religious and it's their music. I am not so fond of this being an album opener. But the vocals and guitar mesh well together. This song sounds better live.

2. - State I'm In - This song should have been the album opener. "Saw a number on the phone that I don’t recognize. I know I've been across this land like ten times now. I’ve seen every little corner of your two bit town." Here, they are obviously referring to the amount they have been touring. The background vocals make this song what it needs to be, along with the drums. I can see some hipster couple dancing to this. It's a cute song. and definitely needs to be played live as soon as possible.

3. - Feet, Don't Fail Me Now - This is my favorite song on the album. It definitely reminds me of Prisoner from their album The Outsiders. Bear's vocals and Bo's guitar make me excited to hear this song live. "Yeah, they ain’t stopped me since I was eighteen. I’m moving faster than my enemies." This totally refers to the beginning of the band and it is perfect. The opening grunt from Bear really kicks off this song and gives hope for the rest of the album.

4. - Oh, Carolina - I first heard this song live last year in Birmingham at Workplay. It was the first song of that set and I was forever spoiled. This is probably my second favorite song on this album and it reminds me of something you would hear on the band's second album The Heat (My favorite, FYI). The song is an homage to their home state of South Carolina. "Oh, Carolina, when I get back home to you, we’re gonna start a fire. Oh, you know I miss you. When we get back home to you we got a story to give ya." The band is very passionate about being from South Carolina so this song bodes well for their state.

5. - Difference Maker - They have played this song at every show I have been to in the last two years, since their previous album The Reckoning was released. There was an earlier demo version of this song on their La Diferencia EP from 2013 that sounds completely different than this version. The demo version and the live version are way better than this version. The demo version is more raw. The live version is done a cappella. This version is a tad disappointing. It also goes back to an earlier statement of not trying to be a "Christian" band. This is the first album where they have directly alluded to God. "Isn’t it amazing how God can take a broken man, let him find and a fortune, let him ruin it with his own two hands." One of my favorite lyrics of all time does come from this song though: "Life is but a vision in a window that we’re peeking through. It’s a helpless conversation with a man who says he cares a lot. It’s a passive confrontation about who might throw a punch or not. And we are all transgressors. We’re all sinners. We’re all astronauts. So if you’re beating death then raise your hand but shut up if you’re not." When you hear it live, they scream it at the top of their lungs in perfect harmony.

6. - Rise Again - I am still waiting on this song to grow on me. I do like the background vocals though. Good job, Seth Bolt. The blend of guitar and piano sounds pretty. Good vocal range, Bear.

7. - The Heart - This song is amazing. It sounds like Valley of Tomorrow and The Outsiders from their third album The Outsiders and More Time from their second album, The Heat. I always find myself asking my DJ friends to play this during their slots on WVUA FM. The harmonies are beautiful and the lyrics are perfect. "Can't waste time when it comes time to dance" is the cutest lyric ever and it makes me think of Disney princesses. This song is forever on repeat and I cannot wait to hear it live. The hand claps, foot stomps, and vocal range make this song one of the best on the album.

8. - Where The Money Is - This song is different than their normal songs and I think I like it. It reminds me of You Are here from their first album Daylight. My favorite lyric from this song is "These days are easy. They come to life these colors bright and they all are mine. I only move in a lovers march. My only grief is when we spend these days apart." This song is not my favorite either, but it has potential.

9. - Multiplied - Once again, they have started to appeal more to a church crowd, which is what they did not want to label themselves as in the first place, but hey, to each his own. "God of mercy, sweet love of mine, I have surrendered to your design. May this offering stretch across the sky and these hallelujahs be multiplied." Yeah, this sounds like a song I would hear in church. This is probably my least favorite song on the album.

10. - Brother - Totally reminds me of Keep Your Eyes Open from their fourth album The Reckoning. Bear's voice is beautiful here too. The harmonies in the chorus gave me chills. "Brother let me be your shelter, never leave you all alone. I can be the one to call when you’re low. Brother let me be your fortress when the night winds are driving on, be the one to light the way, bring you home." Are those tears in my eyes? Yes, they are. This song gets a ten out of ten. If I ever hear this live, I will personally high five every member of the band. Seth Bolt's background vocals make this perfect. Bear really puts his heart into this song and you can hear it.

11. - More Heart, Less Attack - I think this song is portraying that we need to love more and hate less, which is a good life lesson we should all try to abide by. The more you take, the less you have. ‘Cause it’s you in the mirror that’s staring back, quick to let go, slow to react. Be more heart and less attack." The harmonies at the end are on point and the drums are awesome. The outro to this song is powerful. This is a great closing song. It leaves you with something to think about.

Overall, this is not my favorite Needtobreathe album, but I will always support my favorite bands regardless, even if one album does not knock my socks off. I was still impressed by the approach they took for this album. And who knows, it may grow on me.

Big Time Rush, Cody Simpson, and Rachel Crow Concert. Birmingham, AL. 7/11/12

I remember the first time I ever heard the theme song for the TV show Big Time Rush. The thoughts going through my head were “That is the catchiest thing I have heard in a long time” and I immediately went to buy the song and from that moment I always told myself “If Big Time Rush ever comes to Alabama, I will do everything in my power to make sure I am there.” In April, I went to a concert at the same venue that the BTR show was held for a different concert. I looked at their sign of upcoming concerts and I saw Big Time Rush. I literally started crying and I had to beg my mom to take me. She said she was not taking me. So I became desperate. I called all of my friends and a few family members. It turned out that some people did not want to go or they had other things already planned. My best friend Abigail finally agreed to go with me. I was so excited that I started crying again. I bought my tickets and began to wait patiently. When the day finally came, I found it hard to contain my excitement. I had to drive over two hours to get to the show. Not to mention the rain was terrible. When we got to the venue, we waited at the gate for about two hours waiting for the doors to open. When they finally opened, I went to the merch table and then I went to my seat. It rained almost the entire time. Sometimes the rain was heavier than others. But that definitely made the show all the more memorable. The first act of the day was Rachel Crow. I had no idea who she was other than from a newer episode of Big Time Rush. I heard someone in line say that she was on X-Factor too. I did not know any of her original songs but she did cover Forget You by Cee Lo Green and Valerie by Amy Winehouse. I thought that was pretty cool. After her was Cody Simpson. I did not know anything about him either other than he was from Australia and that girls pine over him. I did not know any of his songs either but he did cover Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen. Every time I hear that song, I have to do the Harvard Baseball Team dance from Youtube. If you do not know what I am talking about, look it up. It is hilarious. After Cody, it was finally time for Big Time Rush. They had a countdown on the big screen that started at 15 minutes. When it got down the one minute, it really set in that I was about to see a band that I have wanted to see for the last several years and I got even more excited. When they guys graced the stage with their gorgeous selves, they started playing Elevate which I thought was funny, because they elevated out of the ground. Can we say awesome? Next song was Time Of Our Life. There was a big streamer machine. It almost reached my seat. Their harmonies and their choreography during this song were really good as well. After that the band introduced Alabama to their tour and they introduced themselves to the crowd. And they thanked us for making Birmingham their city tonight, which led to them playing City Is Ours *cue Kinsey’s freakout”. This song has so much energy and it is such a great live song. The crowd also freaked out when it was time to sing “all the girls scream THERE THEY ARE.” That cracked me up. They followed that moment of excitement with No Idea. That is a good mellow song to just stare at each individual band member and admire their beauty. Then it was time for an outfit change and they were back out on stage and they busted out the song Love Me Love Me. That song got the crowd more hyper. That song is such a good dance song. After that, they asked if we were enjoying the rain as much as they were? I do not enjoy rain, but rain definitely makes for a more memorable experience and a really great concert story, if I do say so myself. Then one of the guys said this was a full on Alabama wet and wild and they talked about how good it was to be back in Alabama. It made me wonder about the last time they were in Alabama. Then Kendall started singing Sweet Home Alabama and claimed that he just had to do it. That is just fine with me. I swear every time a band comes to Alabama they have to sing it and it just so awesome. Then they went into If I Ruled The World. Gosh, I love that song. That song is a crowd mover, for sure. Then they played Halfway There. That song is a good jumping song. After that song, the guys discussed how the rain is really coming down and this is the first show they have ever done in rain like this. And apparently we make it rain. Then they asked if we liked the opening acts. They were pretty good. Then they started talking about Twitter. I am glad that they read all of our tweets. Because they are about to get a tweet from me about this blog. They wrote the song Invisible about a girl that thought she was invisible to the guys because she thought they would not see her tweets. I remember the first time I heard that song. It made me cry because it is such a beautiful song and it is so hopeful and I just love their harmonies. Then they started to play Boyfriend. They asked how many girls were looking for boyfriends. Apparently, they are looking for girlfriends. (Kendall, I am available. I want to be your girlfriend!). In the middle of the song, they started singing Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend. I swear I was about to pee on myself from laughing so hard. I loved that so much. They told us they were having a great time and asked if they should come back. Uh, heck yes! And then they took a picture with a crowd. Too bad there were not many house lights. And yes, there were a lot of sexy ponchos out there. And yes, we are gorgeous thank you. After telling us we were gorgeous, they told us that the next song was about inner and outer beauty. They played Cover Girl. I swear if a boy sang me that song, I would swoon. Then they started inviting people on stage to sit with them during Worldwide. If I had gotten up there, oh my gosh. But alas, I did not and I was left with the feeling of jealousy. And James, I had the coolest poncho, thank you very much. The names of the girls on stage were Gracie, Savannah, Kimberly, and Natalie. And then Kendall sang a little song. I swear if one of those boys held my hand and sang me that song… well, so much for wishful thinking, right? Then Logan was late getting back out to the stage because he always has to look spiffy. There was a conversation about stick shifts. No, guys, I do not drive a stick shift. Then they started talking about The Beatles. They asked our favorite Beatles song. I yelled I Me Mine as loud as I could but I swear, it was sad that hardly anyone in that crowd knew the Beatles. But I still got to hear I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Help!. BTR has the best cover of I Wanna Hold Your Hand ever. When Help came on, I looked around me and no one knew it. What has this world come to? After Beatlemania, they played Show Me. It was another mellow song. Then they brought it back with Music Sounds Better With You. I adore that song. When that song was over, the Woo Hoos started. Every one in that crowd knew what that meant. But before we could hear it, we had to hear the guys talk about the logistics behind a woo hoo. Kendall makes up a scenario about seeing a hundred dollar bill in the street and saying woo hoo. Then Kendall and Carlos went to one side and James and Logan came to my side and we had to see whose side was the loudest. It was definitely our side. And then, it was time for *drum roll please* Windows Down. The best song of the night if I do say so myself. Even though that song has not been out as long as the others I think that is one of my favorite BTR songs. It even shares a strong resemblance to Song 2 by Blur. After all the woo hoo action, it was time for Til I Forget About You. That is a very jumpy song and I love it. It is one of those songs that you have to sing at the top of your lungs. It is not really an option. After that, the guys walked off the stage. Most people mistake encores for the end of the show. One important rule of concerts is that you never leave the show until the house lights and/or music come on. The last song of the night was Big Time Rush; the reason I fell in love with this band in the first place, the reason I was at the show tonight. It all came down to that one song. And I could not think of a better way to close the show. Kendall, James, Logan, and Carlos are some very talented guys and they all have beautiful voices. I really hope they decide to come back to Alabama soon. And hopefully when I tweet them the link to this blog, they will read it. Because after all “It’s the only life you got so you gotta live it big time!”.

Linkin Park Living Things Album Review

Like many other true Linkin Park fans, I anxiously awaited the day when I could finally hold the new album, Living Things, in my hands. Before I went on my vacation to Europe, I pre-ordered Living Things in the Atlanta airport on my iPod. I had plans to download it the day I returned to America (June 26th) during my layover. When I was in Switzerland, I walked into a tiny CD store. I looked through the entire CD selection and finally found the Linkin Park tab. Since I am short (five feet), I had to stand on my tip-toes to reach it. To my surprise, there was only one CD under the tab. (drum roll, please)! It was Living Things!! I was so excited and I immediately ran to the register and kept thinking "It isn't even out in America yet!" I found a cheap CD player and began to listen. It most definitely exceeded my expectations.
  1. Lost in the Echo - Such a great album opener. Mike's raps are full of truth, vividness, and emotion. Chester's Vocals work so well with Mike's. This song reminded me of When They Come For Me from A Thousand Suns.
  2. In My Remains - The way Chester sings through the song and the one line that Mike sings are just absolutely beautiful. The beginning reminds me of Crawling and the sound reminds me of a slower version of One Step Closer both from Hybrid Theory.
  3. Burn It Down - Even though I knew this song before the album came out, it still impressed me with the way it fit perfectly in the middle of tracks two and four. Chester's vocals are raw and Mike's part is one of the best lines on the entire album. This song reminded me of Somewhere I Belong from Meteora.
  4. Lies Greed Misery - I also knew this song before the album came out. Mike's opening rap is my favorite on the album and Chester's screaming at the end is drop dead SEXY! I was looking for an old song to compare this to, then I realized this song has Hybrid Theory written all over it. This song is one of my all time favorites.
  5. I'll Be Gone - The chorus is amazing. This song reminds me of "Burning In The Skies" from A Thousand Suns and Given Up and Wake from Minutes To Midnight
  6. Castle Of Glass - Mike's vocals are so powerful. Chester's backing vocals are so meaningful. The lyrics in this song have such a powerful meaning. "I'm only a crack in this castle of glass." I feel like countless people can relate to this strongly. It reminds me of In Between, Leave Out All The Rest, Shadow Of The Day, and Valentine's Day, from Minutes To Midnight Easier To Run, and Breaking the Habit, from Meteora and Iridescent from A Thousand Suns
  7. Victimized - One of the fastest and most upbeat songs on the album, for sure. It is my personal favorite. Chester's screaming is where it is at. It reminds me of Waiting For The End and When They Come For Me from A Thousand Suns
  8. Roads Untraveled - These lyrics honestly made me cry when I heard them. "Weep not for roads untraveled. Weep not for sights unseen. May your love never end and if you need a friend, There's a seat here along side me." I cried for a good five minutes when I heard that. It was really moving. Chester and Mike really know how to harmonize. It reminds me of In Pieces from Minutes to Midnight
  9. Skin To Bone - I do not really have an opinion on this song.
  10. Until It Breaks - I love love LOVE Mike's rap in the intro. It is phenomenal. Brad's vocals are something new to this album and I think he should sing more! He is great! This song reminds me a great deal of A Thousand Suns especially When They Come For Me and Waiting For The End.
  11. Tinfoil - Nice instrumental. Reminded me of The Catalyst from A Thousand Suns
  12. Powerless - This song really made me reminisce on Minutes To Midnight especially In Pieces and The Little Things Give You Away. It also reminded me of Robot Boy from A Thousand Suns. I have listened to this album over 10 times now and it gets better each time. Linkin Park writes great lyrics and they did a great job reminding me of why I fell in love with them in the first place. :) Happy Listening! - kinsey!

Eddie Vedder and Glen Hansard 7/1/11

Fast-forward a few years from 2009 to 2011. If someone had asked me if I thought I would have ever seen Eddie Vedder solo again, I would have said no. The day my mom told me, she said “Kinsey, we are going to see Eddie Vedder in St. Louis because he is not coming anywhere closer. Oh, and it is 4th of July weekend.” I was so excited because I remembered how much fun I had at the last Eddie shows I went to. The show was at The Fox Theatre. Once again, you were not allowed to have a camera and we had to sit down. But that was ok. When we got inside, we went to our seats. We were about 15 rows back from the stage on the floor, which is a really good seat. But in that venue, there is no bad seat. Glen Hansard, from the band The Swell Season, was the opening act. I do not know any of his songs and I cannot tell you which songs he played other than the one Pearl Jam song that he played a snippet of, which was Smile. Not going to lie, that was pretty freaking cool. Then it was time for Eddie. He walked out while Waving Palms was playing in the background and the crowd went crazy. He sat down in his chair and played Can’t Keep. I was not a big fan of this song on Riot Act but it was my favorite on his newest album. It really set the mood of how this show would turn out. Then he played Sleeping By Myself, Without You, Goodbye, You’re True, Light Today, Trouble, and Sometimes. Then he played I Am Mine. My cousin and I freaked out because that is our song. Following I Am Mine, he played Thumbing My Way. I was so excited because that is one of my favorite PJ songs. I feel sorry for the two guys sitting next to us because it is not every day one goes to an Eddie Vedder concert and sits next to a 15 and 16 year old freaking out over their favorite Pearl Jam songs. After TMY, he played Driftin’, and Betterman. Betterman definitely got the crowd going. Everyone around us was dancing and singing, including my cousin and myself. Then he continued with Far Behind, Long Nights (played with Glen Hansard) and Guaranteed. After this, he played Rise. Before he actually played the song, he started talking to the sign language interpreter. He kept telling her funny, but provocative things to sign and she would do it. It made everyone would laugh. He dedicated Rise to her. After that, he played Just Breathe and dedicated it to someone he knew that was expecting a baby. When he played Just Breathe, it made me cry. That is just an emotional song for me. Then he played Elderly Woman. That song always gets the best crowd response. Then he played one of Molly’s favorite songs, Unthought Known. She slapped me in the arm because she was so excited. Then he did ARC. I was so excited and I started crying again because it is just a beautiful live song. He came back and encored with Wishlist. Of all the songs he could have played during that big moment, he played Wishlist. That is my least favorite Pearl Jam song ever. But I am not complaining. After WL, he played Immortality. Of course, he messed up the words in the beginning like he always does. This song got a good crowd response as well. Then he played several more songs with Glen Hansard. These songs were Sleepless Nights, Society, and Falling Slowly. Before the show started, Molly and I were talking about songs we wanted Eddie to play. All she wanted to hear that entire night was Last Kiss. When we checked earlier set lists, that song was nowhere to be found so we eventually forgot about it. Well, as luck would have it, the next song he played was Last freaking Kiss. If you were in the crowd that night, you probably heard the squeal of an excited 16 year old followed by a wail of pain from a 15 year old that just got slapped on the arm from too much excitement. He then played So You Wanna Be A Rock N Roll Star, Lukin, and Porch. These three songs got the crowd on their feet and the whole place was rocking out. It was awesome. Then it was time for the second encore. He came out and did Hard Sun with Glen Hansard. He walked out and came back and closed the night with Dream A Little Dream. That is one of the sweetest songs ever. This show got me excited because at some point during the show, Eddie mentioned something about The Pearl Jam 20th anniversary show. Heck yes.

Eddie Vedder Day One Nashville 6/17/09

When my mother told me we were going to see Eddie Vedder, solo in Nashville, I was so excited. He was going to be there for two nights and we were originally only going for the second night. But, the night before the first show we decided to go. I love spur of the moment concerts like that. Not only was I excited about going to see Eddie Vedder, the lead singer of one of my favorite bands, I was going to see Eddie Vedder in The Ryman Auditorium. The freaking Ryman Auditorium in Downtown Nashville. One of the most important buildings in all of Nashville and Eddie Vedder was playing there. It was such an exciting moment for me to actually be there to see Eddie and to be there with some of my favorite people, my mother, my aunt, and my cousin. While we were out in the line the security stressed to us that cameras would not be tolerated. If you were caught with a camera, it would be taken away and you would be escorted out and not allowed back in. When we walked in, we were briefly searched. The extent of the search went as far as security asking us if we had a camera. Anyone could have easily lied. After the security encounter, we ran directly for the merch table to get the poster. If you were a Pearl Jam fan, you would have an understanding of why getting to the show early to get a poster is important. After we got the posters, we went to our seats and waited for the show to start. The seats in The Ryman were really cramped. I feel bad for overly tall people that have to sit in those seats. Liam Finn was the opener for this show. This was the first time I had ever heard of him and I was really impressed. His wife, Eliza Jane, was also with him. She has awesome hair. I think it is awesome that Liam is multi-instrumental and he is so cute! I do not remember many of the songs he played, but I do remember Second Chance and Plane Crash. They were just splendid. During the set change, this guy that was sitting by us asked my cousin and me how old we were and how long we had liked Pearl Jam. We both answered 13 and since we were born. He laughed and asked us our favorite songs. My cousin [Molly] answered with Better Man and Elderly Woman. I answered with Brother and Gremmie Out Of Control. Needless to say, the guy was more impressed with my answers because those Pearl Jam songs are not as popular as the ones my wonderful cousin answered with. After that lovely conversation, it was getting really close to show time. Then, the lights dimmed and the crowd roared with excitement and then Eddie graced the stage and everyone sat down…. Sitting down? At a concert? I was really confused. There ended up being appropriate times to stand up, so it got better. Eddie opened with Walking The Cow. Pearl Jam covered it a while back but they had never played it live. To this day, as a band, I still do not think they have played it. So this crowd got lucky that they got to hear it live because it would be one of the only times they would ever get to hear it (of course if you followed the tour, then you would probably hear it a few more times). After that amazing opener, he played Sometimes with a Brain Damage by Pink Floyd tag. If the crowd was not stoked yet, that definitely put them over the top. The crowd cheered. The next few songs were Trouble, Thumbing My Way, Gone, Far Behind, No Ceiling, Guaranteed, Rise, Poor Girl, You’re True, Driftin’, and Hide Your Love Away (Beatles Cover). Then it was time for Better Man. Eddie told us that he was originally not going to play this song but he decided to play it Nashville Style. And he did just that. It was extremely different than any version of this song I have ever heard. As a crowd, we tried our best to follow along with him, but we failed miserably. After that he did a stellar cover of Let My Love Open The Door (Pete Townshend). Then he played Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town. During this song, I experienced one of my numerous favorite concert moments. Like I said earlier, we were sitting down at the show. During the middle of the song, this guy decided to get up and stand at the balcony rail. He had his arms in the air and was singing his heart out. The security lady kept getting in his face to try to get him to sit down, but he just kept on singing and flapping his arms in the air. (The part of the song he put his arms in the air for was “ I just wanna scream HELLO! My God it’s been too long. Never dreamed you’d return but now here you are and here I am!”). When it was time for the HELLO lyric, it sounded like we were in a church choir. We were all in unison and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard in my life. After Elderly Woman, Porch was played. For the first time that night, the crowd stood up and rocked out. Eddie made an acoustic song sound like an electric one. The crowd’s harmonies were so beautiful. When the song was over, we all clapped louder than we had the entire night. Then it was time for the first encore. He came back out and played Society with the guy that wrote it, Jerry Hannan. It was great, of course. Then he continued with a few more cover songs. He played Throw Your Arms Around Me with Liam Finn. My aunt had her moment because that is one of her favorite Pearl Jam covers. The Golden State by John Doe and Believe You Me by Bad Radio were both played as well. Then he played Wishlist and Arc. That was the first time I had ever heard ARC live and oh my gosh. It was beautiful. You have not heard the beauty in Eddie Vedder’s voice until you have heard him play ARC. After ARC was over, it was time for a second encore. Because one encore is not enough. For his second encore, he played Hard Sun with Liam Finn. That was just cool. He and Liam perform so well together. There was one day where he pulled up a little girl on stage to sing with him. I think her name was Lily. She was so excited. Hey, if that were me, I would have been excited too! I know her parents were proud, also! This night was definitely magical and it was an extremely life changing moment for me. As the kids from the movie School Of Rock say, “One great rock show can change the world.” And that is exactly what happened.

Disturbed Five Finger Death Punch, and Art Of Dying Birmingham, Alabama 2008

So my first Disturbed concert was good. I was really surprised with the guy to girl ratio. In the security line, they split us by gender so we could be searched. There were probably 15 girls at the entire show, including me. I was not as surprised with the kid to adult ratio because most parents would not bring their children to a concert like this. I honestly think I was the only kid there. I was 12. Anyway, the first band was The Art Of Dying. I had never heard of them at that point (I have now) but I thought it was really cool that they drove all the way from Ontario, Canada to play for us. They played Crime, You Don’t Know Me, Raining, Let The Fire Burn, Fits Of Clarity, Die Trying, Them Bones (Alice In Chains cover), Completely, and Get Thru This. I really wish they would come back around so I could see them again. After AOD, was Five Finger Death Punch. When I saw them, the only song I knew by them at that point was The Bleeding. I later found out that they played Ashes, Salvation, The Way Of The Fist, White Knuckles, Bad Company, and The Bleeding. Their first album, The Way Of The Fist, is honestly one of my favorite albums ever and I have seen them once since this show and they still bring it. After 5FDP, was Disturbed. They opened with Prayer and followed it with Liberate, Perfect Insanity, Voices, Just Stop, Remember, Deify, Stupify, Land Of Confusion (Genesis Cover), and The Game. They encored with Inside The Fire, Stricken, and Down With The Sickness. During the show, David [Drainman], started talking about ghosts and how the venue was haunted. It was not that scary, though. This show was really loud and there were a few thousand people in a steel shed the size of a school gym. Can we say awesome?
