Jason Isbell always brings it live.
Foothills Festival in Jasper was no different.
I have seen Isbell so many times over the last few years and
I am always left blown away.
There are not many musicians I would leave an Alabama
Football game early for, but Jason Isbell makes the list.
I made it to Jasper just in time for Isbell.
He played
Flying Over Water
Tour Of Duty
Dress Blues
Go It Alone
Streetlights
Decoration Day
Heart on String
Different Days
Travelling Alone
Live Oak
Cover Me Up
Relatively Easy
Codeine
Outfit
Danko/Manuel
Super 8
Encore:
Never Gonna Change!
We got almost every song off Southeastern, which is the best
album. Duh.
During the show, he talked about a girl he "dated"
in the 4th grade who moved to Jasper. He never talked to her again.
He then proceeded to talk about Alabama Football and the
local high school football team, which made the crowd erupt into laughter.
Can Isbell play here again soon? Gosh.
